STARTING SMALL

The tale of Durga Garden Hotel started back in 1965 when our beloved founder and the face behind the hotel’s success, Mr. Somnath Pardeshi, used to own a general store named “Apna General Store” opposite the S. T. Stand in Paithan. But, he was a man of bigger dreams. They say, “Opportunity seeks those who seek it.” Around the same year, Jayakwadi Dam, one of the tourist attractions, was being built, and around 5000 workers came to work there. Paithan did not have many restaurants, and Mr. Somnath felt the need and decided to help the laborers. His wife, Mrs. “Mrs. Lalita Somnath Pardeshi,” who was an excellent cook and loved feeding people, helped him in the cause. She used to cook for them, and Mr. Somnath started serving food to workers at the minimum price possible. Being a soft-hearted person, he kept the prices as low as possible for everyone to afford the food. For years, his wife used to cook, and he used to serve laborers and other people around.

EXPANDING THE BOUNDARIES

Durga Garden Hotel knew no boundaries and expanded continuously. Mr. Somnath and his wife were overwhelmed by the response to the cooking. After working hard for some years, in 1972, they decided to open Hotel Durga Garden, earlier known as Durga Bhavan Restaurant, which had a small space and was equipped with just 8 tables.

They thought nothing could be bigger than converting their love for cooking and serving into a business, but soon after that, the demand increased, and people had to wait for a few hours to get into the restaurant. 

Once again, the space started feeling smaller, and they realized Durga Garden Restaurant was meant to be bigger, so in 1986 Hotel New Durga was established. Hotel Durga was a beauty of that time. A concept where you can eat and stay was new to people, and we were again overwhelmed by the response. Our fortune grew bigger, and this hotel became the first step in making Durga Garden Hotel a renowned name in the hospitality sector. After that, another branch was established called Hotel Durga in 1992 in the MIDC area with the same love and dedication.

ROAD TO THE PRESENT

After serving for 5 decades, a small restaurant of 6 tables was transformed into an exclusive and highly-toned restaurant called Hotel Durga Garden Family Restaurant. Connected with its core values, we offer an exclusive dining experience with highly modernized architecture and classic cuisines that include 175 exotic recipes, including our well-known seafood menu to deliver you a soul-satisfying eating affair. Black curry curated by “Mrs. Lalita Somnath Pardeshi,”  herself became our specialty. 

The hotel is home to more than 200 palm trees, creating a magnificent environment around the ambiance. The hotel is divided into multiple sections, including an open sky sitting arrangement, family cubicles, a separate bar section, and many different sections to suit every age group, gender, and personality.
